An International Workshop on Metal Conservation was conducted in collaboration with KIT,Amsterdam and NRLC, Lucknow on 11^th and 12^th December 2002. An Exhibition was also conducted. Dr. R. Kannan, Ph.D., I.A.S., Commissioner of Museums, as a Board Member of the Association of International Museums of History, Paris, Government Museum Chennai Government Museum, Chennai utilised the opportunities for international cooperation. Thiru. S. Ramakrishnan, I.A.S., Principal Secretary, Co-operation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the workshop and released the book on ‘Metal Conservation’. Dr. W.H. Kal, KIT, Amsterdam received the first copy.
