Plant Fossils

Plant Fossils

Fossils are the recognisable remains of animals and plants, which lived in the past geological ages and preserved in the rocks of  the earth's crust by natural process. However, the plants devoid of hard parts do sometimes leave a record of their existence in the form of imprints in the rock beds. This type of fossils are known as plant fossils. This plant fossil geologically belongs to carboniferous period, collected from Britain.
